Gabe cut his teeth in the fast paced world of photojournalism, on the staff of the Portland Press Herald, where he won an Emmy Award for documenting Maine’s heroin crisis. He has captured images in more than 20 countries spanning five continents, and was the first photographer to win the National Press Club Award.
Having served as the director of photography for Down East Magazine, and as the staff photographer for Yankee Magazine, Mark has nearly a decade of experience in visual storytelling. His photography has been recognized by the City and Regional Magazine Association for excellence in photojournalism, and in 2015 he was awarded photographer of the year by the International Regional Magazine Association.
